About Us

Shawn Chartier

I’m Shawn Chartier — a follower of God first, then a husband and a father. The first in my family to go to college, I come from very humble beginnings growing up in Northern Wisconsin. In 2012, with $1,500 and a prayer, my friend Ben and I took a leap of faith on a small idea called Custom Offsets. I worked 100-hour weeks, lived paycheck to paycheck, and pushed through credit-card debt trying to keep the dream alive. That small garage start-up eventually grew into 14 brands valued at over $1B in 2019. I had everything the world told me would make me fulfilled — the homes, the cars, the success. But even at the peak, I felt a deep emptiness inside. In 2020, with a strong push from a brother in a men’s group, I read the entire Bible. Through that year, the Holy Spirit filled my heart, opened my eyes to Jesus Christ, and finally satisfied the void that success never could. Slowly, my purpose changed. My life changed. In February 2025, I sold all ownership in every company I was involved in. God had given me WAY more than I could ever deserve. Now it was time to work for HIM. You Only Serve One. That truth became the foundation of YOSO Clothing. But the reason YOSO needed to exist came from something simple in my daily life. After stepping away from my businesses, I stopped wearing company T-shirts and lived in super comfortable blank tees — clean, minimal, great fit. When I wanted to start wearing clothing that reflected my faith, everything I found screamed “I LOVE JESUS” across the front, I wasn’t looking for that - I wanted subtle “I Love Jesus” clothing. Where if “ya know ya know”. Also most times there was no way to know what blend or fit the shirt would be and mostly low quality, and none of it felt good or fit well. The shirts didn’t last and were throwaways. I wanted clothing that felt like modern-day armor of God — comfortable, subtle, great quality, and rooted in Jesus without shouting. Since it didn’t exist, I created it. YOSO isn’t about me — it’s about you and the life you live. We start with the best-feeling, best-fitting, cleanest modern clothing we can find, and then we add the subtle details that give each piece meaning. The YOSO crown has three points, representing the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — a clean, minimal reminder of the One King we serve. Some see a crown. Believers see the message and become a part of the MISSION. YOSO is Clothing With a Mission. Every purchase directly fuels impact. Twenty-five percent of every order is donated, and you choose where it goes — St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, youth ministries, and other life-changing missions. When you wear YOSO, your clothing becomes part of a bigger story.
This brand is for people who want quality with purpose. People who live with clarity about who they serve. Welcome to YOSO — where meaning meets style, and where every piece points to the One King. Clothing with a Mission.

For the past several years, I've spent most of my time working on film productions, media creation, and media marketing. During the brief time off in the nonstop world of production, I began to think I wanted to try something new—to face a new challenge and hopefully see an opportunity to push myself, both in the entrepreneurial world and in a way that would do more than just focus on the bottom line. After meeting Shawn as he was at the tail end of his time at his company, and through countless ideas (some good, most bad), Shawn brought up the idea of launching a clothing brand that offered essential clothes guys could wear, with the mission of donating as much as possible to people and organizations that were furthering the kingdom. It didn't take much thinking, and so I saw an opportunity to start a brand, work with someone who has experience as an entrepreneur to learn from, and mostly just have the chance to have fun building something that meant something greater. So now, instead of just rolling cameras and editing videos (which I still do from time to time for fun), I've committed most of my time to sourcing quality apparel, producing content, and handling marketing. My goal is to grow YOSO as large as it can be, so that dozens, if not hundreds, of lives can be changed from what we've built.

We would love to hear from you.
